​Welcome to The Penniless Pilot. This platform was created to build a community of aviators who are keen to explore and discuss affordable, adventurous ways to pursue a life as a pilot. The intention of this website is to create a "virtual hangar" for people to be able to make contacts in the aviation community and for people to be able to offer advice, share tips and tricks, make friends and share adventures!

 

I felt the genuine need to encourage those who think they are prohibited from getting into flying due to the cost, by sharing my methods and those of others. I want to cast light on the “modular” route and show that with a little patience and a good helping of determination, anyone can take to the skies.
